The idea is born from the desire to reinterpret cubist art in a digital key, creating a collection of characters that reflect its features. Browsing the world of NFTs, I realized that often the projects are very similar to each other and it happens that the artistic quality is put aside in favour of mere gain. So I decided to make something new, unique and at the same time strange and imperfect, as innovative art should be.
The avatar was inspired by a character on the right side of Picasso’s most famous painting: Guernica.
The intent of Picasso’s painting is to strongly denounce the suffering of violence, destruction and war in general.
Unlike Picasso, I chose to give colours and a modern appearance to the characters. My intent is similar: to denounce the suffering of modern society. Determined not so much by the war itself, but also by social and economic issues, together with racial and gender discrimination.
Owning a Cubist People doesn’t mean just buying an NFT. It means participating in a unique world. We are working hard! We hope you will join this new digital cubist dimension and show us all your enthusiasm!
We are excited about making this project mainstream. We are developing 3D models of our characters for the cubist game. We are building community by developing personal relationships and promoting our project as much as possible. We are creating excitement through promotions, ads and influencers. We are building a new cubist world and anyone who wants to be part of it is welcome!
The greatest challenge was managing to translate into art what I wanted to express. Many things are needed to realize a project like this. You need a new topic, with a strong meaning. It is of course useful to have graphic design skills. And it is fundamental to promote your art through appropriate marketing channels.
